This entry serves as a "Crews & Ships" ledger where we keep track and document all the player made crews. Island bases are also noted if they exist. Please note, we're only keeping up with the basic information. For more information about how crews work, refer to the Crews & Ships section of the Game Info. Here are the requirements to register for a crew:
- Limited to 5 player-made crews per armada. To keep from having too many from the start, we are limiting the number of player-made crews to 5 per armada for now. We will increase this once the game is more settled.
- Must have at least 3 members. To register for a ship and crew, there must already be 3 members part of the group. This is to prevent too many small crews to keep up with.
- Acquire a ship. Traditionally a ship can be obtained by collecting certain materials and offering them to their armada's leviathan to create their ship, but other methods in acquiring a ship can be done as well. Please comment here.
- Have basic information available. There will be a form on the Crew Application page that will need to be filled, and once accepted there will be a profile template players will need to fill and post in their character's journals.
- Help us keep information updates. While we will maintain a reference page for all crews, we will need the group to help us keep it updated by notifying us if there are any changes. We will ask for updates every Activity Check.
To acquire an Island Base, just comment with the request and have a doc or entry ready with information on what you'd like your island to be like. We'll look it over and once approved you can either create your own crew log for it or we can design one based on the information provided. Threads for this log will count 12pts each, but anyone not affiliated with the crew helping will only receive 4pts. Crews are also allowed to create their own quests that will be worth the same as General quests (4pts) for both crew and non-crew members helping them.
Players must register their crews on this page for it to be official and they must help us update it when possible.
To register your crew, fill out the following form and create a designated toplevel. This toplevel will be used for all updates regarding the crew. It is preferred that the player who is the "leader" of the group comments, but anyone can do so.

To answer your question: Yes, it's absolutely okay to have an assumed NPC crew. They aren't the Best of the Best SSS Tier sailors, but they're competent enough at what they do.
